Skeleton and Muscles - Understanding Anatomy of the Human Body

Anatomy of a Skeleton!

For this assignment, I had to understand and analyse the mechanics of the body in order to understand posing and movement.

Using this amazing reference of a 3D skeleton Model. I started to draw out and sketch the skeleton Front, Back and Side.

Here is the Skeleton I drew and I labeled all the key parts of the Skeleton. I also included a few extra parts; Arcuate, Calcaneus, Head of Fumur and Ischium.

Next, I started to explain what joints are in the Human Body. We have 6 Joints; Hinge, Ball and Socket, Saddle, Plane, Ellipsoid and Pivot

In conclusion, after drawing the human skeleton I have learnt the main parts that make up the Human Body. I also started to understand how to draw the skeleton and have a brief understanding of the whole anatomy.

ANATOMY OF MUSCLES!

For this assignment, I had to draw out the muscles inside the Human Body and Label the key parts in order to understand how muscles work.

Here is my reference to understanding where the muscles are inside the Human Body.

Here is a few rough sketches of muscles  in different parts of the body. I also labeled the main parts and a few extra parts that interested me.

Here is the Final Front and Back of the Human Body. I highlighted some of the text in Light blue to represent the main muscle parts of the Human Body. I also added extra parts because I wanted to give it more detail and I found it interesting.

In conclusion, throughout this whole task of sketching, drawing and labelling and understanding the muscle main parts and main parts of the Human body, I learnt quite a lot and I now have a better understanding on how the Human Body moves and I can use that to implement it into my Drawings or Models and give my character a realistic pose.
