Anthropomorphic Creature Design

 Anthropomorphic Creature

For this assignment, I had to create an Anthropomorphic creature. I started to research some cool frogs and developed this mood board.

I started from doing a Basic Outline of the whole Creature and gave him some cool pants and some rocker hairstyle!

I then started to use one of the skin texture from my Moodboard and applied it to my creature.

I gradually started to colour him in and he started to develop into a 90s Rocker Creature which looks pretty cool.

Finished design!

I designed my creature by adding normal human clothes like the Black sweater because I wanted to give it more of a Human look. I also gave him some cool pockets that complimented his style.I had to add a brown hairy moustache because It started to give the whole creature a cool rocker style. His hands have a built in emblem so the person who created this creature knows its location at all times!

In conclusion, this creature design was pretty interesting because I had to find some sort of characteristics to implement into my human frog. In the end, I just went with the idea of a rocker 90s style because when I started to use the texture for the hair I thought it looked really cool and complimented the whole idea well.

Isometric Pixel Art

For this assignment, we had to design our own creature using the principles of pixel art. So instead of using the Brush Tool we had to change it to the Pencil Tool to crate these 1 pixel box design.

Here is my little Gandolf Smurf with a beautiful blue beard!

Using Value for Form

In class we got taught how to change the Value for form. This means using value to create the illusion of 3D form in a 2D image.

Here is the final design once all the principles are applied.

Tentacles!

In this assignment, we have to design a creature made out of tentacles. Here is my mood board of tentacle creatures and ideas from my research.

Here are a few sketches and ideas:

This is my final design, for my Tentacle creature. I really like the combination of colors on the tentacles makes it look more realistic and gives it a 3D affect. However, it would be better if i added more detail to the hair but I wanted it to be more foggy and mystical.

Persepective Analysis & Creating a Sci Fi Room

UNDERSTANDING PERSPECTIVE LINES!

Here are a few images that I analysed on Photoshop using the Ruler and Pen Tool to find out the vanishing points on a specific image.

Creating a Sci-Fi Room!

Here is the finished design for my Sci-Fi Room. I used different brushes to create the broken glass and it ended up looking really good. I also added some weird footprints to show that a creature broke out of the silos and escaped! I kept to my colour scheme of Brown, Blue, White and Green tones and in the end it turned out pretty well.

In conclusion, I now understand how to create an environment using perspective lines and it helped a lot when creating this Sci-Fi room!
